Family Background: Jian was raised in a Shaolin temple in North China. He was the son of farmers who were killed in a flood. He was then sent to his grand-uncle who had entered the
temple.
His grand-uncle Xian was once sent to Hogwarts when it was still under Dippet (and Dumbledore was Transfiguration teacher). Jian was chosen by the Mian-Ju-Tao monks to follow in his uncle's footsteps and likewise learn from a foreign culture.
