Jose Mendero

Name: Jose Mendero, but only known as Mendero. Few know his first name.

Wand: 14 inches ebony with powdered unicorn blood. Knockturn Alley acquisition. Was sold cheap.

 

Appearance: Indeterminate nationality, appears to be a mixture of African, Chinese and Hispanic blood. Very exotic looking with dark coloring. Athletic, tall, with coiled, snake-like grace. Longish wavy black hair. Olive skin with interesting-looking scars here and there. His most dominant feature are his deep-set black, black, black eyes.

Family Background: Unknown. Raised by an old shoemaker named Honorario Mendero who found him as an infant in a dark London alley. When Honorario died, Jose lived on the streets. He was aware he could do "weird things" (mostly illusions) but he did not know there was a school for magic or what he had was actually magic. "Just weird stuff." He only received his Hogwarts letter over the summer.

Talents/Special Abilities: Good with his trusty tiny switchblade. Very quick on his feet. No magic tricks if he could help it. He's a skeptic, very wary of magic stuff. Ironically good in casting illusions, if forced to do so.
