Appearance: Tall for her age with a slender build. Very pretty with blond hair, blue eyes, a cheeky smile and a quick laugh.

Wears her blond hair short which is unusual in witches who as Sarah puts it favour 'dreamy, floaty hair'. Hers was originally close cut and spiky as per her cartoon but recently has started growing it out for a softer look. She has her nose pieced and a tattoo of an uroboros-serpent encircling her upper arm. Out of school uniform she tends to dress down - 'distressed' jeans punk-style T-shirts. She looks as though she could handle herself in most situations - which she can.

Somewhat of a chameleon as evidenced at the Yule Ball when for all appearances she dressed as an Edwardian lady with all the attendant manners and elegance.

Family Background: Sarah transferred from Canada late in the first term. Her parents own a pub called 'The Dragons' Rest' in a village close to the Rocky Mountains, which is a Canadian equivalent to Hogsmeade. She never talks about her family though has said she has no siblings. She is so open on other matters that no deep dark secrets are suspected. Has given no clues whether any muggle background but appears quite familiar with muggle culture as well as wizarding.

Talents/Special Abilities: A late bloomer and quite quirky in her magic. Not a brilliant student despite her placing in Ravenclaw (see below). Takes special interest in people and doesn't seem to be bothered by anything much. She is an excellent mimic and often will assume the voices and mannerisms of one of the teachers as part of a joke. She also has a good singing voice and is an accomplished musician.

Pet: Boa constrictor Basil (named for Basil Valentine a famous alchemist although Sarah never appears to be overly intellectual.)

Wand: 10" Acacia wood with unicorn hair.

Other Information: Sarah was originally sorted into Slytherin but as that house was full to the brim, by default she was placed in Ravenclaw as they had an opening. She gets on well with the Slytherin students and deeply admires the Ravenclaw Third Year Prefect Kat Black. Describes herself as 'plucky sidekick' material. Enjoys muggle culture especially genre TV that she catches up on during holidays.

For all appearances Sarah is friendly, open and gregarious. She has at times been somewhat cruel in her teasing and doesn't mind embarrassing others or being embarrassed herself. She is however good-natured and helpful to others.

In past has had some trouble in attracting boys as her forthright manner and confidence is somewhat daunting to most boys in her age bracket. However, at the start of this year she met Nathaniel Greenleigh and Raphael Lathander and the three have become good friends - with boundaries.

She enjoys frequent forays into the underground areas of the Castle. Knows all its nooks and crannies. Is wary of Marvo as he once almost caught her out in dungeon area where she'd gone for a 'smoke' and doused her with extinguisher foam.

Loves flying and is an enthusiastic Quidditch players though came too late in the year for selection for House team. Often practices with the Slytherins for fun. Best in Chaser position as is both fast and strong in her flying. She has since been selected for School Quidditch team in Chaser position and is its Captain.

Gets on well with Hagrid who has taken a special interest in providing her snake Basil with suitable environment for exercise when she's occupied in classes.
